Calgary, AB --- January 16, 2004 --- SMART Technologies Inc. was recently awarded the 2003 Good Design Award of Japan for the Rear Projection SMART Board™ 3000i interactive whiteboard and SMART Board 580 interactive whiteboard with Floor Stand 570 by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization. The Good Design Awards of Japan commend exceptional usability, originality and superior product design. Nominated products were put through an extensive product screening and selection process conducted by designers, architects, buyers, editors and distribution specialists. Ratings were based on innovation, functionality, product quality and safety.
