How does the audience see notes and annotations?
Anything you do on the SMART Podium interactive display screen is simultaneously displayed through the connected projector for your audience to see.
Does the SMART Podium ID422w come with software?
Yes. All SMART Podium models come with SMART Notebook software.
How can I save my notes for later reference?
Save all of your notes into a single file, including a PDF or image file, using SMART Notebook software. You can also use SMART’s Ink Aware application to save your notes and annotations directly into applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Word or Excel.
How can someone view the notes that I have saved?
If you are using an application such as PowerPoint, Word or Excel, simply save your notes within the application and all of your annotations will be viewable when the saved file is opened.
If you are using SMART Notebook software you can save notes into a PDF or HTML file for others to view or save notes into a SMART Notebook file for people to view by downloading a copy of SMART Notebook interactive viewer software at no cost.
Can I use any computer with the SMART Podium ID422w?
Yes. Any computer being used with Mac or Microsoft Windows operating systems can be used as long as it has an available USB connection and meets the minimum system requirements for SMART Notebook software.
What type of projection system can I use with the SMART Podium ID422w?
The SMART Podium ID422w can connect to any SMART Board interactive whiteboard, SMART Board interactive display frame, SMART Board for Flat-Panel Displays interactive whiteboard, or any digital projector. For optimal viewing, set your computer’s resolution to match the native image resolution of your projection system.
What are the main differences between the SMART Podium ID350, ID370 and ID422w?
The SMART Podium ID422w is a widescreen display with a native 16:9 aspect ratio and flexible scaling options to support 16:10 and 4:3 resolutions. The SMART Podium ID350 and ID370 models have an aspect ratio of 4:3.
The SMART Podium ID422w display measures 22" (56 cm) diagonally. The SMART Podium ID350 measures 15" (38.1 cm) and the SMART Podium ID370 measures 17" (43.2 cm).
The SMART Podium ID422w has three USB ports, while the SMART Podium ID350 and ID370 models have two USB ports.
The SMART Podium ID422w accepts DVI and VGA video signal output from a computer. With an optional DVI to HDMI adaptor, the SMART Podium will also accept unencrypted HDMI output from a computer.
The SMART Podium ID422w has support for English, French, Italian, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Spanish and Simplified Chinese. At this time, the SMART Podium ID350 and ID370 models support only English.
Can I conference with a SMART Podium ID422w?
Yes. You can hold meetings from a distance by using a SMART Podium ID422w interactive pen display with Bridgit conferencing software. This solution enables you to share voice, video and data over the Internet with meeting participants.
Can I write over video from a VCR or DVD player?
Yes. Connect the VCR or DVD player to your computer, via a video capture card, then play the video using SMART Video Player, which is included with SMART Notebook software.
Can I integrate the SMART Podium ID422w into a room-control system?
Yes. The SMART Podium ID422w is compatible with certain AMX and Creston equipment in either touch pen interface (TPI), matrix switch, or Ethernet configurations. Please see SMART knowledge base article 121284 for more information.
Is product training available?
Yes. SMART offers a variety of training resources and services to help you get the most from your SMART product. You can choose to learn at your own pace with free online materials, attend instructor-led sessions or access training options through the reseller who sells your product. What is the warranty for SMART Podium interactive pen displays?
We offer a limited two-year warranty on all SMART Podium products.
