How do the components of SMART Classroom Suite work together?
The following examples show some of the ways the software suite’s components are integrated. Teachers create questions in SMART Notebook and send them to students using SMART Response CE. Students answer the questions using SMART Notebook SE (Student Edition), and their answers are submitted to the teacher with SMART Response CE. The gradebook in SMART Response CE tracks all students’ answers, calculates grades and provides evaluation reports and summaries.

SMART Sync connects students to teachers, enabling teachers to interact with individual students, small groups or the entire class. It also allows teachers to randomly divide the class into small groups and provide assignments that students can work on and submit as a group. It works with any application that is running on the students’ computers and allows file sharing among students and teachers. SMART Sync runs continuously throughout a class, enabling teachers to monitor student activity and interact with an individual, a group or with the entire class anytime.

Can I buy the individual components of the suite?
Yes. Each of the components of SMART Classroom Suite – SMART Notebook, SMART Notebook SE, SMART Sync and SMART Response CE – can be purchased individually. Note that SMART Response CE software requires SMART Notebook SE to be installed on student computers.

What are the benefits of purchasing the entire software suite rather than the individual components?
